What is it?

The Qdenga vaccine is available in the UK for people aged four and older who have had dengue in the past. It is not suitable for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a weakened immune system.
Dengue, also known as dengue fever, is an infection spread by mosquitoes. It's not usually serious and often gets better on its own. Some people get a more severe type of dengue, but this is rare.

Dengue fever is a risk in tropical and sub-tropical regions, including parts of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Dengue is also a risk in some parts of Europe, such as southern France and northern Italy.
